I really like Fang Yuan personality. The perfect main character for this story. I hope this novel gets unbanned soon. After reading this, i have changed very much from my past self.
I will just describe it in one word and that is 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠. Yeah that's it. According, to me Fang Yuan is the best protagonist in fiction and it is also my favourite novel. Definitely better than Shadow Slave, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Re:zero etc. The only novel which can match it is Lord of the mysteries. And still Fang Yuan is the better lead.
Fang Yuan is the best character to exist in fiction 👀. Totally recommended 👹👀. Just read it and then will you understand the peak of fiction
It is the best novel you will ever it and the MC is mt favourite character in fiction. If only this was not banned!! Well 100/100 for this novel from me.
Absolute masterclass novel, one shown the journey that fang yuan has completed throughout his life. Although it is a MASSIVE letdown that the novel was banned. Truly a sad moment in history
Fang Yuan, is a refreshingly ruthless and cunning anti-hero who uses intellect over brute force. The world-building is deep and meticulously crafted, with a unique cultivation system centered around gu insects. Morally complex and thought-provoking, the novel explores themes of freedom, ambition, and human nature. Every arc is layered with strategy, twists, and philosophical insight. It's a bold, uncompromising story that challenges readers while delivering a gripping narrative.
This might be unpopular but I think Reverend Insanity is smart in the most annoying way possible. Like yeah, he’s 10 steps ahead, but it makes the story feel so flat. There’s no tension. No mystery. Just a bunch of mental gymnastics with no soul behind it.
The whole thing feels like it's trying way too hard to be edgy and deep. Every single interaction is some 4D chess move. No warmth, no stakes that matter. Just “I planned this 100 chapters ago” over and over again. Got tired quick tbh.
I liked the beginning, not gonna lie. It was refreshing seeing a ruthless MC for once. But then it just… never evolved. Same tricks, same cold logic, same lack of anything resembling emotion. Kinda feels like the author is afraid of actual character development.
Idk man, I tried really hard to get into Reverend Insanity but it just... doesn't click. Like, yeah the worldbuilding is deep or whatever, but Fang Yuan is basically a sociopath calculator. No emotion, no growth, just 500 chapters of "I outsmarted you again." Cool the first few times, then just boring.
