One of My fav novel of all time... And world building, mc personality and most of all the power system is the best thing in this novel , if not best in any novel you can find here
He was born of man, yet chose to transcend joy, to strip himself of all warmth and love, in pursuit of power unbound. What remains is not man, nor daemon, but a husk of ambition, an echo of will without mercy. I have seen the horrors of the Warp, yet beside this... they are but children playing at monsters.
I have finished reading this magnificent work, and I feel ready to share a short review.
From the very beginning, the story captivates with excellent narrative development and spectacular world-building. As you progress through the book, you will notice that the protagonist evolves in a rather peculiar way, something that not everyone will immediately understand.
Itβs important to remember that this is a work of fiction, so you wonβt always find conventional interactions between characters. However, if you accept this and reach the point where the true motives are revealed, everything will make much more sense.
If you have patience with the story, Iβm sure it will become one of your favorites. From my perspective, it features one of the best systems for progression and power advancement.
Enjoy!
You Like Fang Yuan? Then You're gonna love this. The mc shang is basically an inferior version of Fang Yuan. You might think I am insult Shang but no. I fucking love Shang. But I worship Fang Yuan. In other words Shang is the best but Fang Yuan is the greatest.
I am just surprised that Shang hasn't mastered a concept of pain. I mean he went through so much pain. I really thought that would be the last push to God hood. Anyway really good book. I am not into training arcs but this one was nice to read
f*ck you Alex. You son of a b*tch. You killed my boy Gregorio. I hope you burn in hell. I also hope Lash and Gregorio meet each other in the afterlife. They would be good friends
Don't know what to say except for the fact that you should read this. I am just here to give a 5 star rating. So yeah. That's my review. Why hasn't it hit 140 letters mark yet? Also yes this was copy pasted
Excellent beginning. Amazing story. Swords versus magic. Overall I really like this novel and I hope we Shang again in the author's future novels. The only keeping me from giving this 5 stars is the ending which felt a bit rushed.
Holy Peak.
From the world building to the character development.
I would say it focuses more on the mc than the side characters but you'll understand if you read it.
It's a really realistic version of fantasy I'd say but way darker
Shang remains one of the best written novel characters of all time. This dude was written so phenomenally he had the readers spiralling into depression and madness with him. ππ Straight up peak character writing. If Shang ends up being a villain in a future book of this author he may end up having the greatest origin story ever seen.
But-but... Shut up
