Origins of Blood (RE)

It was praised to the heavens, but all I see is the author overly mystifying and complicating the story that which is completely throwing me off.

First, the MC is very weak-willed for someone who has had visions all his life; you expect him to either be indifferent or willing to make a difference by using it for his benefit or others. but he didn't even have anything prepared for the apocalypse. I get the despairing part whch is normal but him not even trying to run away or anything and letting plot amor save him was disappointing and now he went searching for his brother like he didnt know it was gonna happen and left him for death and if u tell me that he taught it was braught about by nuclear wapons then he could have gone to isolated parts of the earth with his brother but he did nothing and now he is pretending like he cared and even with his brother there he didn't dare to protect him it was rather the brother who was proactive
