Concubines Lead to Strength: The Path to Immortality Begins with Taking a Spouse

I save 5 stars for those special ones. This is one of those. Very well balanced. The MC is the MC and grows prodigiously, but it's not filled with the constant slap on the face trope. The MC is a truly enjoyable character to travel with. Family support is wonderful, and there's no plethora of 100 women in 100 chapters situation, just a few ... which is GREAT! It's been a while since I started reading a story and reached the end at 400+ chapters and had that horrible feeling of "no next chapter!". Can't wait for this to keep updating.

So far, I’ve read about 200 chapters. The story is quite entertaining and not too slow or too fast. The characters receive a lot of attention, and the buildup of the story is quite good. In contrast to many other stories I’ve read where the main character has no power or cultivation and somehow gains a system that makes them incredibly powerful, this story seems to have a slower pace. The main character does not gains super power immediately, and his relationship with their wives or partners is very intimate and close, rather than being a number that they only know the names of and don’t really know anything about.
