It’s mid at best. Like yeah, she was from a military background in her past life and now she’s some big madam of the house, but the way those teens (who are like 17+) changed way too fast? Nah. Just ‘cause she hit them with a belt doesn’t mean they suddenly become perfect kids. That’s not how people work. Teens don’t just do a full 180 overnight, especially not from fear. In real life, that kinda “discipline” usually backfires and makes them more aggressive, not obedient.
I get it, it’s a fantasy novel, so exaggeration is part of the deal. But still, it felt a little too easy and unrealistic. Not saying it's the worst thing ever, but it didn’t hit the way it could have. Solid meh.
